Lutheran Hour Ministry Malawi (LHMM) is a Christ centered Outreach office of the International Lutheran Laymen’s League (Int’l LLL) working in partnership with Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malawi (ELCM). It is one of the Lutheran Hour Ministries which brings the Gospel of Jesus Christ to millions in North America and worldwide in over 52 international offices. Over 50 million people listen to Lutheran Hour Ministries radio broadcasts in more than 40 languages.
The Malawi office was founded in January 2002 and since then it has reached over 100,000 people.
Mandate
LHMM is a group of people of Christ with a message of hope striving to bring Christ to the nations and the nations to the church envisaging all people, all for Christ.
Ministry Objectives
1. To produce contextual Christian programs utilizing available media technologies.
2. To distribute Bible Correspondence Course lessons to evangelism and Christian growth;
3. To coordinate media activity with the on going ministry of the churches particularly the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malawi (ELCM);
3. To respond to social, physical and moral needs of the people within the context of its ministry;
4. and, to distribute Christ-centered reading materials to people who yearn for spiritual nourishment.
Target Audience
The main focus of LHMM is to reach out to the unchurched and dechurched people. We also seek to strengthen spiritual lives of the people who believe in Jesus Christ as the savior.
